The Memorial-Historical Museum (Memorialno-istoricheskiy muzey) is one of the most attractive historic architectural buildings in Central Station Square. This is the only museum in the Southern Federal District of Russia dedicated to the events of the Russian Civil War (1917-1920). Before the revolution the building belonged to the family of Repnikov, the well-known Tsaritsyn merchants and patrons. There are a lot of mysteries and secrets about the Repnikov’s mansion. According to one version the mansion was built in 1896. The Volgograd Memorial-Historical Museum presents its visitors the most important page in the city history. Here you can find a unique exhibition of interesting historical documents and things. The museum is divided into 5 halls presenting visual sources, numismatics, gifts from individuals, weapons and military equipment, documentary sources. The exhibition hall and the lobby of the museum present temporary exhibitions.
